Macquarie Capital is seeking an exceptional Investment Banking Associate to join our world-renowned Infrastructure & Energy advisory practice at 50 Martin Place, Sydney. You will play a pivotal role in origination and execution of complex M&A, project financing, and capital structuring for major transport assets, utilities, and green energy developments across APAC.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Construct complex: Construct complex financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and project finance debt sizing.
- Coordinate comprehensive: Coordinate comprehensive buy-side and sell-side commercial, legal, and technical due diligence processes.
- Draft confidential: Draft confidential information memorandums (CIMs), pitch decks, and investment committee briefing papers.
- Manage interaction: Manage interaction with consortium bidding partners, institutional lenders, and regulatory authorities.
- Mentor and: Mentor and guide junior analysts on financial valuation methodologies and presentation craft.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at Macquarie Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Finance, Commerce, Law, or Actuarial Studies from a premier university.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 4+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- 4+ years of investment banking, M&A advisory, or infrastructure private equity experience.
- Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skillset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience executing complex transactions across infrastructure, utilities, or renewable energy.
- Outstanding academic pedigree and commercial drive.
