UNSW’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience division is recruiting a Senior Educational Technology & Digital Learning Designer. You will partner with university professors and academic faculties to transform complex coursework into dynamic online, blended, and micro-credential learning experiences.

As a key member of the team at University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Design constructivist: Design constructivist online course architectures using Canvas LMS, H5P, and interactive multimedia tools.
• Consult with: Consult with academic faculties on ethical AI integration, digital assessments, and adaptive learning platforms.
• Ensure digital: Ensure digital course designs comply with universal design for learning (UDL) and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Analyze student: Analyze student learning engagement telemetry to iteratively refine instructional content.
• Facilitate professional: Facilitate professional development workshops for academic teaching staff on immersive digital technologies.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Master of Education (Learning Design / Educational Technology) or related.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Postgraduate qualification in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Education.
• 5+ years experience in digital learning design within a university or tertiary education setting.
• Advanced mastery of Canvas LMS, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and educational media production.
• Deep understanding of contemporary tertiary learning theories and cognitive load theory.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$120,000 – AU$145,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $120,000 – $145,000 + 17% employer superannuation.
