Cisco Systems is hiring a Lead Systems Engineer in St Leonards to design enterprise SD-WAN and SASE network architectures for Australian corporations.

Cisco Systems Australia is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise Networking sales engineering team in St Leonards. You will architect enterprise-scale Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Catalyst routing fabrics, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions for major enterprise customers.

As a key member of the team at Cisco Systems Australia in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Architect high-resilience: Architect high-resilience Cisco SD-WAN and campus switching architectures for enterprise clients.
• Deliver technical: Deliver technical demonstrations, proof-of-value labs, and deep-dive architectural workshops.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with account executives to author technical proposals and tender responses.
• Advise clients: Advise clients on modern network automation utilizing Cisco DNA Center and Python.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Cisco Systems Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or CCNP Certified.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 7+ years experience in enterprise network engineering or technical pre-sales.
• CCIE (Enterprise / Routing & Switching) or equivalent prestigious networking certification.
• Deep expertise in BGP, MPLS, IPsec, and software-defined WAN architectures.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$160,000 – AU$200,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Package $160,000 – $200,000 + lucrative pre-sales commission incentives + super.
