Datacom is hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer in Perth to manage enterprise next-generation firewalls and multi-site SD-WAN networks.

Datacom’s Managed Network & Security Services division in Perth is seeking a Senior Network & Firewall Security Engineer. You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and high-availability SD-WAN networks for Western Australian corporate clients.

As a key member of the team at Datacom Australia in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Deploy, configure,: Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet next-generation firewalls.
• Design and: Design and troubleshoot complex BGP and OSPF routing across hybrid cloud environments.
• Implement zero-trust: Implement zero-trust network access (ZTNA) and secure IPSec VPN tunnels.
• Perform scheduled: Perform scheduled firewall rule audits, firmware upgrades, and security risk mitigations.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Datacom Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: CCNP Security, PCNSE, or Degree in Network Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years experience in enterprise network engineering and perimeter security.
• Active PCNSE (Palo Alto) or CCNP Security certifications.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, packet inspection, and routing protocols.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$135,000 – AU$165,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $135,000 – $165,000 + 11.5% super + performance bonus.
