Culture Amp is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer in Melbourne to build employee engagement analytics platforms using Rails and React.

Culture Amp is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our People Analytics product group in Melbourne. You will build intuitive survey and analytics tools that help companies build thriving workplace cultures, utilizing modern Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.

As a key member of the team at Culture Amp in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Design and: Design and build scalable SaaS features using Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript.
• Architect performant: Architect performant GraphQL APIs and optimize PostgreSQL database query execution plans.
• Practice test-driven: Practice test-driven development (TDD) using RSpec and Jest to maintain high code quality.
• Collaborate closely: Collaborate closely with product designers, researchers, and data scientists.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Culture Amp, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years full-stack web engineering experience with modern Ruby on Rails and React.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, relational databases, and caching.
• Passion for developer tooling, clean code, and inclusive engineering cultures.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $150,000 – $185,000 + employee stock options + superannuation.
