Mater Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurses to join the General Surgery Ward 8B in a permanent, full-time or part-time role. You will be part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest level of patient care for pre and post-surgical patients, including General Surgical, Colorectal, Gynae Oncology, Plastics and Reconstruction, Breast and Endocrine, Urology, and Vascular patients.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
• Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care.
• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision.
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time.
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in General Surgery, Colorectal or another similar field, including skills with infusion pain management and CVADs.

Location & Shift Details

Location: South Brisbane. This position involves working 24/7 rotating rostered shifts including early, late, night, and weekend shifts.
