Lead sales performance, customer experience, and operational excellence for JB Hi-Fi’s flagship high-volume consumer electronics retail store in Sydney.

JB Hi-Fi is looking for an energetic, results-obsessed Senior Retail Store Operations General Manager to lead our premier Sydney CBD flagship store at Westfield Pitt Street Mall. You will have full commercial P&L accountability, inspiring a team of over 60 coordinators, sales specialists, and technicians to smash sales targets, deliver legendary customer experiences, and maintain immaculate inventory integrity.

As a key member of the team at JB Hi-Fi in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct all: Direct all store operations, sales strategy, merchandising displays, and customer service standards.
• Lead, inspire,: Lead, inspire, and develop a large, passionate team of department coordinators and sales specialists.
• Drive store: Drive store profitability, managing sales conversion, average order value, wages-to-sales ratios, and shrink loss.
• Ensure flawless: Ensure flawless inventory management, stock receiving, high-value tech security, and Click & Collect fulfillment.
• Foster the: Foster the unique, high-energy JB Hi-Fi culture celebrating personality, product expertise, and customer delight.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at JB Hi-Fi, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, or Commerce.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of retail management experience leading high-turnover big-box or flagship specialty retail stores.
• Proven track record delivering outstanding sales growth and achieving stringent retail KPIs.
• Exceptional people leadership skills with a talent for recruiting, coaching, and motivating retail teams.
• Passionate interest in consumer technology, audio, computing, and gaming.

At JB Hi-Fi, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$160,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Base salary ($130,000 – $160,000) + substantial uncapped sales performance incentive bonuses.
