As a clinical leader operating at an advanced practice level, you will be accountable for the coordination of patient-centred clinical practice specific to perinatal mental health. You will provide a consultation-liaison service for perinatal mental health consumers within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, creating pathways to care for women at risk of perinatal mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Coordinate patient-centred clinical practice specific to Perinatal Mental Health at an advanced practice level.
• Provide sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory, delivering clinical leadership, advice, and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitate the provision of quality and cost-effective nursing and/or midwifery services consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, legislation, and best practice.
• Deliver a consultation-liaison service for perinatal mental health consumers, establishing pathways to care for at-risk women.
• Participate directly or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care to individuals and groups within Perinatal Mental Health.
• Facilitate professional development, lifelong learning, mentoring, and support for colleagues.
• Apply advanced analytical, problem-solving, change management, and risk management skills.
• Utilise data and information systems to ensure service organisation for safety and measure service delivery standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program as a Registered Nurse.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate.
• Proof of qualification and registration must be provided prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
• Possession of a context-specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated expert, specialised, and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary Perinatal Mental Health nursing practice.
• High-level management, organisational, human resource, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
