Job Overview & Context

An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to join a well-recognised aged care brand in Bundaberg, Queensland. This established aged care facility has a history spanning over 100 years, deeply rooted in the local community where residents actively participate in decisions regarding activities, events, and town outings. The role operates within a fast-paced and challenging environment designed for dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Managing medication rounds including S4, S8, and DDs.
  • Taking clear and detailed clinical notes for residents.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure each resident is well looked after.
  • Prioritising time effectively to ensure all clinical and support tasks are completed across the floor.
  • Being present in the facility and maintaining positive morale and high spirits across the floor.
  • Acting as a supportive team player willing to assist others and lead AINs and ENs on the floor.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse within Aged Care.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Up-to-date compliance in accordance with Aged Care standards.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Must be a local applicant (no travel and accommodation provided).
  • Own vehicle or reliable independent transport to and from work (public transport not relied upon).

Skills & Competencies

  • Confidence in clinical abilities and resident care.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide and support AINs and ENs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a family-oriented approach to resident care.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced setting.
