Job Overview & Context

Rehman Clinic is urgently seeking an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) to join their team on a casual basis. The role requires an autonomous professional who can collaborate effectively within a General Practice setting, deliver high-quality patient care, and support the changing needs of patients in Bundaberg & Wide Bay Burnett QLD.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Cold chain monitoring
• Records management and data entry
• Accreditation processes
• Maintaining stock
• Identification of key practice patient populations (e.g., diabetics, asthmatics, elderly, AT&SI)
• Implementing health assessments and care plans
• Identifying patients due or overdue for immunisation
• Developing recall systems
• Chronic disease management including diabetes and asthma review and education
• Patient advocacy
• Triage and first aid assistance with emergency procedures
• Acute assessment of sick patients
• Performing ECGs, injections, medication administration, suture removal, and dressings
• Assistance with minor procedures
• Wound management
• Ear syringing, spirometry, and BSL
• Adult and childhood vaccinations
• Any other nursing work as required by the Doctors

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an enrolled or registered nurse (AHPRA Registration Certificate)
• Training in CPR undertaken within the past year
• Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision
• Able to backfill sick leave at short notice
• Availability for holiday relief

• Willingness to learn on the job
• Previous experience as an EN/EEN in general practice (Desirable)
• Previous experience in the use of Best Practice software (Desirable)
• Experience with Care Plans and Health Assessments (Desirable)
• Understanding or experience of the RACGP Standards for General Practices (Desirable)
• Familiarity with ‘Strive for 5’ and the 5th standards of general practice (Desirable)

Salary, Benefits & Perks

Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
