Job Overview & Context

An exciting casual opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to join a specialised in-home palliative team with BlueCare in Bundaberg. As part of BlueCare’s statewide palliative care service expansion, this role offers a diverse opportunity combining professional growth in community services and palliative care. You will be primarily based in Bundaberg and supported by a robust clinical structure, innovative service models, and the wider BlueCare community service team to deliver exceptional end-of-life care to clients and their families in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide high-quality end-of-life and palliative care to clients and their families in their homes on a casual basis.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, families, and stakeholders to address comprehensive care requirements.
  • Engage with various communities across Queensland to deliver person-centred care.
  • Participate in specialised in-home palliative care delivery aligned with robust clinical structures and service models.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate in the employing State (AHPRA).
  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Exhibit mid to senior level proficiency in general nursing, showcasing clinical expertise and a person-centered care approach.
  • Prior experience or ongoing pursuit of qualifications in palliative care, pain management, or acute care is highly valued.
  • Possess a current driver’s license and the confidence to navigate rural and remote areas of Queensland.

Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated aptitude in effective communication and collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Clinical expertise in general nursing with a strong person-centred care approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary community team.
  • Confidence in navigating various communities, including rural and remote regions.

Salary, Benefits & Perks

  • Hourly pay rate ranging from $45.29 to $57.06 per hour plus casual loading.
