Job Overview & Context
An exciting opportunity is available for an Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skills (ENAS) to join the Perioperative Department. In this role, you will practice under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), providing clinical and patient-centred care within the Perioperative Unit. You will utilise your knowledge, skill, and competence to effectively develop, provide, and evaluate patient care, whilst maintaining regular communication and assistance from the RN.
This is a temporary part-time position (64 hours per fortnight) from the date of appointment for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy. Job Ad Reference: H2609WB692184.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide clinical and patient-centred care within the Perioperative Unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate patient care utilising professional knowledge and competence.
- Maintain regular communication with Registered Nurses and seek assistance when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and holding a valid practicing certificate with AHPRA.
- Applications are strongly encouraged from First Nations nurses and midwives in line with Health Equity, Growing Deadly Families, and Hospital and Health Plan Strategies.
Skills & Competencies
- Clinical competence in perioperative nursing care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team under the guidance of Registered Nurses.
